I recently announced on my Facebook that I'm taking a break from social media. I have so much writing to do (Only The Devil Knows, A Crown of Secrets, Sinister War) that all need to be finished by February. While writing these books, I'm also going to be working on my hardest book yet: my dad's life story. Social media is taking up too much of my time, so I've decided to come off and focus on my books (you can still reach me at katzesnow56@gmail.com).
My dad turned 60-years-old this year. He grew up in the slums of Scotland in a time when it wasn't safe to be anything other than a boy scrambling through the dirt in order to stay alive. He's a truly remarkable man, with one hell of a story that will make even the strongest people weep. I'm honoured that I was asked to write this for him. For those who don't already know, my dad has been terminally ill since I was 16. It's been a slow decline these past 8 years, but he's still here, still fighting, still exhibiting the strength and dignity our family takes pride in. I cannot wait to write this story, despite how much I'll inwardly be crying. Yeah, it will be hard, but it'll also be an amazing tribute to my dad and a legacy of sorts that he can leave behind.
So, here's to Papa Snow! My hero, my greatest love.
